Corte Madera, Calif. — Top 50 retailer RH announced the opening of RH Raleigh, The Gallery at North Hills.
Located at 4120 Lassiter Mill Road, the Corte Madera, Calif.-based retailer’s latest showroom showcases its home furnishings collections alongside rare art, antiques and artifacts from across the globe as well as a glass-encased Rooftop Restaurant in 60,000 square feet.
“We believe great architecture amplifies and renders our product and brand more valuable. We either find great historical architecture and readapt it, or we build it,” said Gary Friedman, RH CEO and chairman. “RH Raleigh is an entirely new design, built from the ground up.”
The transparent, multilevel contemporary structure features a parchment-cream exterior with an expanse of glass-and-steel French doors that open onto garden courtyards and terraces. A grand staircase leads to the third level and the Rooftop Restaurant. Set within a year-round, skylit garden escape beneath an atrium with sparkling chandeliers, heritage olive trees and a cascading cast-stone fountain, the restaurant extends from indoors to out, where guests can explore the Wine Terrace.
Influenced by the classical gardens of Europe, the rooftop terrace features a series of intimate RH Outdoor lounge spaces, defined by a layered composition of pleached London plane trees and shade canopies.
On level two, guests will discover artistic lifestyle installations of RH Collections by internationally acclaimed designers, as well as RH Interior Design Offices. Clients can work with professional designers in an interactive atelier that includes two private presentation rooms, state-of-the-art technology, design libraries showcasing a wide assortment of textiles, furniture and lighting finishes and an RH Rugs gallery, presenting exclusive hand-woven collections.
On the main level, visitors will pass through a 25-foot threshold of retractable glass-and-steel doors as they continue into the central hall with soaring 14-foot ceilings and natural light emanating from a skylight three floors above. Along the periphery, barrel-vaulted passageways lead to a classical arrangement of rooms integrating the brand’s assortment of furnishings, lighting and décor with one-of-a-kind antiques and artifacts from Friedman’s world travels.
