Delft, Netherlands – Ikea is readying a new textiles collection for creative types with limited budgets.
The new Tyg collection features 20 patterns designed in collaboration by 13 designers from diverse backgrounds. The line consists of 3-meter pre-cut fabrics in motifs and colors that reflect Scandinavian modern design.
Set to launch in select Ikea markets in July, the Tyg collection includes 16 long-term patterns, available for 24 months, along with 4 additional patterns supporting seasonal drops in the second half of 2024.
“At Ikea, our identity is deeply intertwined with the textiles,” said Marie Olsson, Range Area Manager for Home Textiles & Rugs at the company’s headquarters in Sweden. “Historically, we are recognized for our patterns and textiles, which have a long-standing heritage of bold expressions that tell stories.”
